Step1. Punch a circle from Daffodil Delight card stock using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Cover the circle with Sticky Strip.

Step 2: Cut a 1" strip of Daffodil Delight card stock. Punch one edge using the Eyelet Border Punch. Distress using a Sponge Dauber and Daffodil Delight ink. Tip: Distress both sides of the punched edge.

Step 3: Run this strip through the Crimper 3 or 4 times in order to break down the paper fibers and make the strip pliable.

Step 4: Remove the Sticky Strip from the circle. Begin adding the eyelet strip around the circle, pleating as you go. Tip: If you run out of paper, simply prepare a second strip and begin where you left off. This step may take a little practice to get the flower edges even!

Step 5: Using the Extra Large Bird Punch and Pear Pizzazz card stock, punch 3 wings to use as leaves. Distress the edges with Old Olive ink applied with a Sponge Dauber. Run through the Crimper for texture. Finally, apply a liberal "smooching" of Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. Tip: While the flower is still wet from smooching, gently shape it in the cup of your hand, and allow it to dry. For even more body, add a slight misting of light hold spray starch!

Cute little Box!

http://www.stampinchic.com/2009/12/anything-but-card-for-ppa.html Check out this Blog alittle of fun ideas.

The Stampin' Schach Tips:

• Making reference to Beate's tutorial, I began with a 4" x 4" square. I then set a compass to 2" and added half-circles on all four edges of my square. (I re-cycled a piece of cardboard from a package of designer series paper to create this template!) I traced the template onto a piece of Sending Love Designer Series Paper and snipped it out.

• Pink Pizzaz! The scalloped corners were made using the Big Shot and the Scallop Circle die. A little "Pretty in Pink" ink accents the scallops, which have been pierced with a Paper Piercer. The rest of the tutorial is just as Beate wrote it. How easy is that!

• Flower Power! Make flowers in minutes with the Big Shot and Bigz XL Flower Fold die. Alternating pink and red patterns from Sending Love DSP coordinate perfectly to form the petals of the over-sized blossom which adorns the top of the box. The Boho Blossoms and 1-1/4" Circle Punches were used to create the center of the bloom.

• Glitz and Glam! A few snippets of 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon completes the package. Can't you just see this little box created in Halloween or Christmas paper?

Instructions from splitcoaststampers.

• Paper cutter with scoring tool
• Ruler with 90 degree marking
• Stylus Tool
• Scissors
• Sticky Strip™ or other double-sided, extra-tacky tape
• 7" Square of Patterned Paper (here Magnolia from My Mind's Eye™ )
• 8 1/2" Square of matching patterned paper or cardstock for the box bottom
• 4" Strip of matching patterned paper or cardstock for lid corner
• Stamps
• Cardstock or Cardboard to make a template
• Ribbon
• Five in One Template from Stampin' Up!™

Step-by-Step
1. Step 1
Draw a 4"x4" square on your scrap cardstock/cardboard for your pattern.

2. Step 2
Line up the round envelope flap from your template with your 4x4 square and trace it on your square.

Step 3
Repeat Step 2 on each side of your square.

3. Step 4
Trace the flap of the envelope template to make our corner template.

4. Step 5
Cut out both pieces. This completes the template for the lid.

5. Step 6
Trace your newly made template on the back of your patterned paper.

6. Step 7
Cut traced image out. Score your first line underneath one rounded flap.

7. Step 8
Line up your ruler with the first scored line and mark your other lines. Make sure you have one line of your ruler lying on top of your scored line to ensure you will have 90 angles.

8. Step 9
Scor all marked lines.

9. Step 10
Prefold those scores and set your lid aside.

10. Step 11
Take your flap template and trace it four times on coordinating cardstock (here Pumpkin Pie). These will be your lid corners. Cut them out.

11. Step 12
Score the corner pieces in half.

12. Step 13
Prefold your scores.

13. Step 14
Add Sticky Tape™ to the straight edge of the pieces. Don't use one long piece over the fold, or it will show.

14. Step 15
Take the plastic liner off the sticky strip and line the corner up with the inside corner of your lid.

15. Step 16
Tape corner piece to inside lid.

16. Step 17
Repeat on the three remaining corners. This completes the scalloped lid.

17. Step 18
Take your 8 1/2" piece of cardstock for the box bottom and score it at 2 1/4" and 6 1/4".

18. Step 19
Turn the paper 90 degrees and score again at 2 1/4" and 6 1/4".

19. Step 20
Cut both scored lines on one side of your square all the way to the first horizontal score.

20. Step 21
Repeat step 20 on the opposite side of the cardstock.

21. Step 22
If desired stamp the sides of your box.

22. Step 23
Add Sticky Strip™ on each outer square. These will be your glue tabs.

23. Step 24
Tape your glue tabs on the inside of longer inner pieces to form the bottom part of your box.

24. Step 25
Add the box top, some ribbon and a tag and you are ready to give it away.

Vintage Tilda

I finally had the chance to sit down an make a card for a challenge. I just love the way this card turned out. Vintage is my fav. I used DSP scraps that I had left from a project I did earlier this year. I colored Tilda with some of my favorite copic markers.
